Deacon Chike Okafor offers scholarship to intending Anglican priests in Okigwe South The people of OKigwe South have risen in one voice to pass a Vote of Confidence on the member representing Ehime-mbano, Ihitte-Uboma and Obowo in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Deacon Chike John Okafor.  This Vote of Confidence which was conveyed by non other than the Anglican Bishop of Okigwe South, Rt. Rev'd David O.C. Onuoha, was delivered during the 3rd session of the 8th Synod of the Diocese of Okigwe South, which ended on 30th May, 2017. Arthur Egwim "Akuabata", seeks to provide a legal framework for a Court-connected alternative dispute resolution centres in the High court premises. This is sequel to A Bill for a Law to establish the Imo State Multi-Door Court House and for other connected matters sponsored by Hon. Arthur Egwim, which went through third reading, today, in the Imo State House of Assembly, and now awaits executive accent. The bill if signed into law will have for its overriding objectives: 1. Enhance access to justice by providing alternative mechanisms to supplement litigation in the resolution of disputes 2. Minimize citizen frustration and delays in justice delivery by providing a standard legal framework for the fair and efficient settlement of disputes through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

Innocent Arthur Egwim has advocated for a constitutional financial autonomy for the legislature in Nigeria as a way of further strengthening the principle of separation of powers between the tripod arms of Government on which the democratic system of government is anchored. He made this call, during a public lecture on the topic "Financial Autonomy of The Legislature" which he delivered on 8th of May, 2017, at the Imo State University, Owerri, during the law week organized by the faculty of Law. As he pays an unscheduled visit to NSITF Owerri Ofiice The new Executive Director, Finance and Investment Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund ( NSITF) comrade Jasper Azuatalam has on Friday 5th of May, paid an unscheduled visit to the Owerri office of NSITF, in what will be his first outing since assuming office on 2nd day May, 2017. Upon his arrival at the office at about 8:40am he was shocked out of his skin, as He was being conducted round by Mr. Fidelis Okolo-Olisa, a senior manager and head of Claims and compensation. Addressing the staff of the office, later, Mr. Azuatalam averred that NSITF is one of the Biggest Government agencies because it has for its concerns, the social security of the people.
