Image
... set to deliver project ahead of record time Rt. Hon. Ugonna Ozurigbo, Deputy Speaker, Imo state House of Assembly I was just minding my business, over the weekend, hovering around the state when in Nwangele Local Government council Headquarters, I spotted this edifice, which I was sure never existed before now. Upon inquiry, I was reliably informed, that this is the proposed Nwangele ICT centre project, being supervised by the member representing Nwangele State constituency and the Deputy Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ugonna Ozurigbo. For the records, this is a constituency project agreed upon by members of the 8th Assembly of Imo State legislature, which is borne out of the ardent desire of the State to catch up with the current realities of the global world which is propelled by Information and Communications Technology. It is on record, that while some Local Government Areas are still mobilising to site, the young and amiable legislator, popularl

Events started from church service in the morning, where he got a surprise bash from the Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria (CYON), Holy Cross Parish, Aladimma, where he had variously served in different capacities, including Parish Secretary, Zonal Coordinator in charge of over 29 parishes, and presently, the Editor-in-Chief of Cross Newsletter, a local News Magazine. The mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Francis Metu.  In the same vein, Oru-East celebrated Francis Udoka Ndimkoha ... Extols his virtues and media expertise This is because, In a quiet ceremony that blossomed into a grand celebration, the Oru-East leaders celebrated the birthday of Mr. Francis Udoka Ndimkoha. The event which was anchored by no less a person than the TC Chairman of Oru-East LGA, Hon. Barr. Obinna Amagwu

Like Senator Ben Murray Bruce like Afikpo Chic.  Playing to the gallery seems to have become the modus operandi of our legislators who rush to the media to make empty bedroom promises, only to shamelessly recant them later. It will be recalled that at the inception of the 8th Assembly of this 7th dispensation, the Akassa born Senator Ben Murray Bruce, representing Bayelsa East Senatorial zone ran to the media, in the heat the now infamous jumbo wardrobe allowance saga that embroidered the National Assembly, promising without batting an eyelid, that he will donate half of the allowance to Osun state Government, to help them pay the salaries of their workers and according to him, he will use the other to cloth the women of his constituency. At the end of the day, after Senator Bruce received his allowances, the story changed. Not only did he not fulfil his promise to the Government and people of Osun State, he merely donated 250,000 naira, out of the expected figure of over 17,

Ozb hosts his annual Nwangele Carnival in style!

Image
Rt. Hon. Ugonna Ozurigbo (Enyioha) and wife, Ijeoma As an unassuming carnival going fellow, I was there on 30th December, 2015, when Enyioha, the Rt. Hon. Ozurigbo Ugonna (Ozb), the deputy speaker of Imo state House of Assembly, had his annual carnival for his people of nwangele, right there in St. Anthony's school playground.   I had the opportunity to meet his big brother, Engr. Obinna Ozurigbo, and host of other top shots. Slow Dog was there to thrill the people, and so was Harry Song. MC Two can Talk held the microphone ensuring there was no dull moment. I was a star studded event. From the drinking and dancing competition in male and female categories, 4 motorcycles were given aware, 4 refridgerators and 4 generators were also won. It was evident that only a man with a large can put together a free show, with many A-list artists performing, on his pay, while the people that gathered to watch were also
